Pigeonhole Fine Cabinetry

Living with the person who designs the card they want you to print isn't like doing jobs for other people. The conversation goes something like this.

Me: Wow, that's beautiful. Who are you going to get to print those?
Him: You.
Me: I don't think so. I can't hold that kind of registration. It has to be perfect.
Him: I know.
Me: No. I mean perfect. Absolutely no shift in the paper! E v e r y time.
Him: I know.

Pause.

Him: You can do it.
Me: (trying to change the subject) And is the back brown stock?
Him: Yep.
Me: Well, that shouldn't be a problem but is that white type?
Him: Yep.
Me: Well, I can't do that.
Him: Yes, you can.
Me: (a hint of hysteria) No I can't. Perfect registration and white copy? No. I can't.
Him: Yes, you can.

A month goes by.

Me: Have you thought any more about your cards?
Him: I was just wondering when you were going to start.
Me: Have you redesigned them yet?
Him: No.
Me: Well, let me know when you have.
Him: I'm not redesigning them. Just print them the way they are.
Me: (a hint of hysteria) Well, I can't. Perfect registration and white copy? I can't.
Him: Yes, you can.

And there you have it. Pigeonhole Fine Cabinetry.
